THRIFT STORE

The Catholic Charities Thrift Store in Panama City is a two-building retail facility that is comprised of the “front store” where donated items such as family clothing for all ages, shoes, household goods, books and miscellaneous items for the home are available at affordable prices. The second building comprised of the “warehouse” is located directly in back of the property. It accommodates donated furniture, appliances, and additional clothing and shoes. All items in both buildings are donations from individuals, families, local businesses and churches. This merchandise is offered to the public at affordable prices and any revenue from the sales of these donations help support Catholic Charities’ programs and operation.





Vouchers are provided for free, or at reduced rates, to assist many of our clients with their material needs. Clients are able to shop in the thrift store for their items on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Warehouse.

If you are undergoing spring cleaning, redecorating, downsizing, etc., please contact the Catholic Charities Thrift Store at 850-769-5379, to coordinate a pick up with our driving staff. Businesses and organizations that would like to contribute goods for the Thrift Store are always welcomed and appreciated.

The daily and weekly operation of the Thrift Store is made possible through volunteers who generously give their time and efforts to provide the help and support needed to assist the store manager. Volunteers for the Thrift Store are always needed in the areas of:

• Cashiering
• Sorting of Clothing and other items
• Maintenance and Groundskeeping
• Electronics Evaluation
• Clerical
• Public Relations assistance
• Telephones
• Sign Making
• End of Season Store Sales
• Food Sales
• Carpentry
• Assisting with Furniture pickups.

All volunteers are asked to fill out an application with our organization.

The Thrift Store’s hours of operation are: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Warehouse hours of operation are: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
We are closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays and observed holidays.

Volunteers and donations are an integral part of our mission. Please join us in providing help and creating hope to our community.
