GETTING AHEAD IN A JUST GETTIN' BY WORLDFive individuals graduated on April 20 at McMillan Center. Their class was facilitated by Mary Anderson, pre-kindergarten instructor for the Escambia County School District and Frances Gray, a retired school principal. Thirteen graduated on April 21 at Englewood Missionary Baptist Church with facilitators Peggy Groves, community volunteer and Vicki Pugh, Early Learning Coalition. Thirteen graduated on April 25. The participants were from the Pathways for Change program and related individuals. The class was facilitated by Wanda Brooks and Britte Powers of the Department of Children and Families. Eight graduated on May 4 at the McMillan Center. Their facilitators were Sharon Kerrigan, a community volunteer and Modeste McCorvey and Linda Scott, both retired school principals.
