Adoption Education Classes

WHEN: This class will continue to be offered the first Saturday of every month from 10am-3pm
WHERE: 1000 West Garden St. location in Pensacola, Florida. This is not the adoption office
COST: $10.00 per individual unless you have already paid or will be paying your application fee of $250 the day of class
Regardless of what agency or attorney you choose to go with, this class will answer many questions that adoptive couples ask.
Topics of Discussion include:
- Birth Family: Who are they and how do they come to Catholic Charities? What about the birth father?
- Adoption Family: What is a home study? How long does the process take? When will the child be placed in my home?
- Legal Process: Can the birth family change their minds? Will we have to go to court? Do we have to hire an attorney?
- Agency: How many placements does Catholic Charities do? Who will we be working with? What are the costs involved?
